Nichiban Group Purchasing Policy

We conduct our purchasing activities in accordance with the following basic policy in order to realize the happiness of all people involved with the Nichiban Group, based on the Nichiban Group Philosophy.

• We will comply with all relevant laws and regulations and social norms in our purchasing activities, both in Japan and overseas.
• In purchasing activities, we will give consideration to human rights and labor conditions throughout the supply chain in accordance with the Nichiban Group Human Rights Policy.
• We will properly manage information (technology) obtained through our purchasing activities.

• We will establish fair, equitable, transparent and sustainable relationships with our suppliers.
• We will make decisions on the selection of suppliers based on a comprehensive evaluation of quality, price, delivery time, stable supply, technology, and service.

• In selecting suppliers, we will emphasize efforts toward the realization of a sustainable society based on our Sustainability Philosophy.

In selecting suppliers, we will consider the following items.

• Suppliers shall be in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and social norms, both in Japan and abroad.
• Suppliers shall respect human rights and the prohibition of discrimination, and not be complicit in human rights abuses in accordance with the Nichiban Group Human Rights Policy.
• Suppliers shall implement fair labor conditions and maintains a safe and healthy working environment.
• Suppliers shall manage information (technology) provided in connection with business transactions in an appropriate manner.
• Suppliers shall conduct fair corporate activities under sound management.
• Suppliers shall maintain and improve quality, price, delivery, etc. at an appropriate level.
• Suppliers shall be aware of environmental issues and be engaged in resolving and responding to them in alignment with the Sustainability Philosophy of the Nichiban Group.
